Sometimes we run away from exactly the things we c

Sometimes we run away from exactly the things we crave & need in life.

My life right now feels off. I’m constantly figuring things out, trying out new routines, measuring my success to those of other people & seeking validation from the outside world. In other words: I’m running away so I don’t have to deal with my own emotions and doings.

It’s in those moments when I’m not fully secure within myself I realize what I need: to slow down. To reflect and sit with myself. To ask myself: what is it that I need and how can I provide that for myself? 🤎

And often it means doing things I don’t want to. Like setting clear boundaries again, or re-establishing my routines, or saying no more often.

💭 So today, I decide to change my narrative again. Instead of doing the things I crave (doing nothing, junkfood, scrolling away at my phone) I will look closer and give myself things I actually need (a healthy meal, organizing some tasks, time to myself, no constant impulses from technology & others)

Someday everything will make sense. Perhaps not today, or tomorrow. One day you’ll look back and understand why certain things had to happen. So for now: laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears. It will make sense one day 🤎☁️

We spent our Sunday roaming around the gardens of @cubotanicgarden 🌿 I was completely in awe of the glass house. Both of the building as the plants in it. Reconnecting with nature on a slow Sunday is all I needed in that moment 🤎
